My frugal Friday tip for today is to get out those old thrift idea books or check them out from the library and re-read them. I have 2 of the Tightwad Gazette books, and I got them out recently. There were so many ideas that didn't really appeal to me in my early frugal years, but now are so relevent. I guess I am maturing, which probably means I am getting old!
One example was the article about sour dough bread. When I was younger, I wasn't interested because I thought bread making was too hard, but now I am totally interested!
As we go through life our outlook changes, so if you haven't looked at your money saving books lately, you might be surprised at how many things will be relevent to you in the stage of life you are in now!

Happy Friday!

Great tip! The Tightwad Gazette changed my life!
And life situations change over time, so needs change over time. You're not getting old, you're just normal!
I agree! Those are the greatest books and I have a hardback one with all of the books inside. I reread it frequently and each time I gain something new from it. I don't know what I would do without that book- it is such good inspiration for me!
I had a spell of being frugal, clipping coupons, etc. Now I hardly even look at the coupons in the Sunday paper. Now that there is just the two of us, I don't do it so much. I should start back but everything seems to take so much time and it cuts into my blogging time...shame on me!!~ann
I recently got from a yard sale..or maybe Goodwill..the trash to treasures books...love them....has you read those..

Think it is my first time at your blog....
Awww, you aren't getting old! "Mature" doesn't have to mean "old," LOL! Me, my motto is..."I may grow older, but I'll never grow up."
Isn't it funny, though, how something that didn't mean a thing to you ten years ago is completely relevant now?
