Don't worry, these shoes were worn out, but not to the point of having a hole in the toe. I made that hole with a knife for drainage! The other shoe had a worn out place in the bottom that I was able to enlarge a little for drainage. The bunny rabbit ear? A neighbor's dog thought we bought him a chew toy. Dumb dog!
This is the "before" picture of the shoes. |
My hubby threw the shoes away and I rescued them. I love getting ideas from websites such as this one: FLEA MARKET GARDENING.
My Zinnia garden is growing and just starting to bloom around the yellow chair planter. I'll post pictures of it soon.

Oh, I love the shoe planting pot idea! My husband and I made a 2500 mile move from Houston, TX to North Idaho last December. We got rid of a lot of shoes; oh how those could be used now!
Thanks for sharing the idea and the pretty pictures!

Oh, this is too cute! My DIL has made the prettiest 'fairy' garden this year, using succulent plants. Hers are in three different bowls, set up in on a tricycle planter base. She has a little fairy that the boys enjoy moving around, so someone always has to look for her! You need to find a shoe fairy and hide down in your little garden for the grandbabies to find. Love this idea!
