Seen From The Front Porch......

You never know what you might see while sitting on the front porch at the farmhouse.

This was very early Sunday morning.  Hubby went down to the Friendly Mart to get a paper and called back on the cell phone saying, "There's a house coming".  So I went out on the porch with my camera, not knowing what to expect.  In my imagination I thought it might be an old farmhouse or Victorian mansion!  I could hardly wait for it to get here.

The leader with blue lights flashing.
When it came into sight I zoomed in with my camera.

Something's coming. (See how big the corn as grown on that side of our yard!)

A building of some sort.
We decided it was an office building.  Not nearly as beautiful as seeing a Victorian mansion or old farmhouse go by, but exciting, nonetheless!

Maybe an office.

Gone!
Later that morning when we went to church, which is in the same direction as the building was being moved, we saw the place the building had been delivered to.  When we left church and came back by the place, an identical building had also been moved there while we were away.   It will be interesting in the next few weeks to see what kind of business is being set up in that spot.

And happily, that's about as exciting as it gets from our front porch.  Occasionally we will see some speeder getting a ticket by an unmarked police car, but that's about it.  From now on I will be on the lookout for exciting things to show you from our front porch.

Excitement in the country!! I would have enjoyed seeing that, too. Debbie, your view from your front porch (where I can the crepe myrtle trees) reminds me so much of our little farmhouse that we lived in a long time ago. We had crepe myrtles in the exact same places. Our porch posts were exactly like yours. I just LOVE your house!!

Debbie, I can just see it!!!!
An, I am with Little PenPen. Those crape myrtles remind me of the home that your Hubby and I grew up in.

There is a home on our road that was donated to the Christian Refuge. It is still waiting to be moved. They said it would be moved on a Sunday morning. (I guess because of less traffic).. Anyway, I enjoyed the pictures from your front porch. You must do this again! Loved this post!!

What fun! Love watching stuff go by while on a front porch... the first time I visited my daughter and her family in their new home, we were out front sitting in lawn chairs... and a wagon pulled by two horses went by!
