Frugal Strawberries

My hubby has access to free strawberries. The reason for this is that they aren't quite good enough for the market or are too ripe, etc.

If these are the culls..... we'll take em!

Strawberries are a great food to put in the freezer, especially when they are free.

Ohhh...you are so lucky, Debbie. The ones I find in the store, from another country, are almost tasteless. I also worry what might have been sprayed on them. Save some for homemade ice cream!

Wow, lucky you! We bought some this week from a local nursery. I made a little dessert for the family and have enjoyed eating the rest of them right out of the bowl. YUM
