Its always nice when a new month begins. Its like a new year, just on a smaller scale. Its like turning over a new leaf and a chance to start over again. I'm excited that August is here, because it means we are getting closer to Autumn!
Here are some things on our menu this week:
BLTs made with our home grown tomatoes
Cream Cheese and broccoli Chicken
Pasta
Peas
Spaghetti
green beans
Homemade bread (Thanks MJW)
Vegetable beef soup
Grilled cheese sandwiches
I Hope your August is great. It'll be in the upper nineties here this week, actually flirting with 100, but that's ok. It won't belong before we'll be experiencing some football weather.

Sounds like a delicious menu, well planned to use God's Bounty! I love Autumn but I'm just not quite as ready for it as you.

Your menus sound great. I need to get a menu together for the month. Your tomatoes look so pretty on the table. I'm glad your garden did well for you this year. Many people had no luck with theirs due to all the rain and others lost theirs to the heat.
BLTs with homegrown tomatoes are one of summer's most glorious offerings... nothing better...
Sounds like a good week to pop in and eat with the J's... LOL. My daughter is now home from Hawaii and she is looking forward to winter, as she feels like she missed it while in Hawaii. I told her to hush her mouth... we had a long wait for summer this year and I'm enjoying it. :o) I do have to admit that I am looking forward to Fall, too. ;o)
"High 90's" sounds cool! We're still scorching over 100 daily here in Oklahoma. :( You mentioned BLT, and now I'm hungry for one!
Yes, please Lord give us some cooler weather. Thanks for the postive thought that fall is not that far away. :) I'm pretty much housebound with this heat.
Sounds delish! Yep, it's pretty hot for us here too, lots of heat and humidity.
I want to look forward to Fall too - it's the winter part that I am not anticipating, lol. :)
