Good Night Irene

Hurricane Irene has gone on to hassle some other people. Our damage was minimal because Irene's track was east of us. We did have high winds and lots of rain.

The zinnias didn't like it:

The plants have been carted back to their places:

A little rearrangement:

Hopefully this week will be quieter! No hurricanes or earthquakes I hope!

So glad you all are okay! My mom had lots of damage her way. She put a few pic's on FB, but is still waiting for her power to come back on. She was using the computer for short intervals via generator. :o)

Glad to know all are safe in high Sampson Co.! Am curious to know how much rain you got over the weekend. We got none in the foothills.

Your poor zinnias... but if that's the worst of it, you're lucky! Still shaking my head over photos of the damage along the coast.... my sisters in VA are still w/o power.

Have a marvelous Monday!

Glad to hear you're okay. We lost power for about 12 hours and got some flooding. The town I grew up in is under water. :-( That was up in the mountains which is some place I never would have expected to get hit so hard.

I'm so glad to see that you didn't have any damage from Irene. I was worried when I saw where the path of the storm was heading.

Hey Debbie, Your yard looks so pretty. Ours is still a mess. We started with getting our trees up off our neighbors yard. Mine should be dried out enough tomorrow to start making some headway on getting the mess cleaned up. Finally got power after 10pm last night.

Glad you weathered the storm.....we were on the "East" side of the storm, but I think we fared well. We only lost power for just under 48 hours, we have a generator and were prepared so that wasn't an inconvience. My prayer was that no trees or limbs touch my house or my family, prayer answered!

Blessings,
Denise
