A Weekend in Early March 2011

It was a good weekend with a grandson sleep over the first half and alone time for the second half. Do you ever have a day completely alone and the next day you can't remember if you even brushed your teeth?!!! I had a sewing marathon and will show you the fruits of my labor later in the week. For now, I have to go to work, but first I must go brush my teeth!!! Have a great Monday.

Here are some pictures reflecting how our yard looks in early March.

Yes, I know all about those days of wondering if I even brushed my teeth... LOL. Your house and outside pic's truly make me miss eastern NC... if you only knew how much your new place reminds me of our home that we had in eastern NC. I love your place!!!

I like your new pink background!

Spring has come early here. We've got some green grass after a few rainy days, and the spring flowers are up. The ground is still a soft brown with bright green short grass peaking through. I really like it like this before the weeds and tall grass take over.

I had fun at Walmart the other day purchasing more spring flowers and some things for the veggie garden. I got some leeks, strawberries, and lavender. I was so glad to see the lavender because I lost mine this past year to drought. The prices this year are very good. At least some things haven't been touched by inflation.

I'm having one of those days where time is getting away from me as well, and I haven't brushed my teeth either. ;) Off to get ready for the day even though it's almost half over. It's all good. :)

In early March...my yard looks like...a BLIZZARD! It is snowing hard and we are really grateful for the woodstove.

Lovely photos, we had rain over the weekend and the temps today and tomorrow will certainly help with melting, but we've got a long way to go! I can see a little grass in my yard near where the septic is located......hope that there will be spring.

Hi Debbie,
I can see Spring heading your way soon. I love alone days. I call them jammie days. One where I just turtle along.
Hugs,
Elizabeth
