On My Sewing Table This Morning....
There she waits.... my Early Autumn quilt.... My sewing project for quite a while now.... Ready to be quilted....
I plan to begin free motion quilting this queen size quilt this weekend. Even if I only do a small section, I want to START!
I started out small, free motion machine quilting two baby quilts:
Sweet Savannah
Eliza Rose
I need even more surfaces around my sewing machine to do a large quilt. Here's how it looked when I was quilting Sweet Savannah last weekend:
I also plan to do lots of other things like housework, cooking, yard work....
Wish me luck!

Good luck on the quilting the big quilt. Hope you have a GREAT weekend!!!
Love the baby quilts. I have several old quilt tops that my husband's great grandmother made that need quilted but I have never quilted before. I did buy a quilting frame and hope to maybe quilt a couple of them (2 of them are twin size) this winter. Thanks for sharing and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Blessings,
Elizabeth
I just happened across your blog and have to say I love your quilts. I am just a beginner at quilting and have a quilt to quilt. Your picture of the ironing board made me realize I need more room if I'm going to machine quilt.

Wishing you a productive weekend! Happy quilting. :)
Debbie, I have a question. I've machine quilted baby quilts and they are not too bad because they are small. However, is there anyway to do this with larger quilts? Do I have to have a special machine? I find that I can do the edges but there is too much material to quilt (stitch in the ditch) in the middle.
