Sew Crafty Friday
This is a Christmas gift I made for my wonderful son-in-law. He and my daughter met during her two year stay in Boston. He was really happy when the Red Sox won the World Series this year so I came up with this. I cross stitched most of it while riding in the van on our anniversary trip to Tennessee in November. I designed it using parts of different patterns in a library book. Some of it came about by accident, because of mistakes I made, but I think it turned out pretty good. Working on a project while driving through the mountains on I-40 helps keep my mind off the tractor trailers who might run over us!

Thanks for sharing. It came out very nice. Everytime you share something, I then remember, that's right, you can cross stitch and turn it into something aside from just framing it. Thanks for the reminder. lol Does the part that is cross stitched stay stiff? Like I know the Aida cloth is a little stiff.
Very nice. I am a Sox fan also, so I especially like this project. Great idea to make it a pillow. Job well done.
Cool! You did a great job on it. (And even though I'm from NY, I'm not a Yankees fan. If I had to pick a team, it'd be the Mets.)
I'll bet he really likes his pillow. A very thoughtful gift from the heart!
