Sunshine and Shadow

Life is a little hard right now. Mama is home and undergoing dialysis treatments on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday of each week. She is not doing well with all this. She is weak and has to be moved around in the wheelchair instead of her trusty rolling walker. She can't be left alone and so our family is taking care of her. The good thing is that she is eating well and we have hope that this is only a temporary thing and that she will get stronger. At 86, its not that easy to bounce back!

No matter what we are going through, the seasons keep rolling along.

This picture is of my daughter and grandson enjoying one of the last warm days of fall:

The cotton is gone! I have really enjoyed having it right outside the door all summer and fall.

Have a great day!

Debbie,
I will be praying for your mom. It is so hard when the time for healing is long. Wish I could help more somehow. I was just browsing your quilts and homemaking blog yesterday. Thinking of you and knowing you were probably to busy to blog each day. Take care of you as you take care of mom. Maybe a few days off work here and there would make a big difference in how you feel.

I'm sure your mother will continue to regain her strength now that she's home and can eat good home cooked meals. Hospital food just isn't as appetizing. Remember to take care of yourself during all this. You're in my prayers.

I'm glad your mother is home now so she can rest, recoup, and recover... hospitals aren't the place to do that unfortunately. It is good she eating... I'll pray for her strength to return and for patience with the slow bounce back.

Take care of yourself too, Debbie!

Dear Debbie, it must be so hard to see your mum poorly, but as her appetite seems good, I'm sure she will go from strenght to strenth........it's wonderful she has such a caring loving daughter and family to support her through this tough time.

take care, lily x

I pray your mom gets stronger as time goes by, and that the treatments are helping her. God bless you as you care for her. :)
