Sign of Fall

While sewing this on Saturday....



...I kept hearing a rumbling noise....

When I checked to see what it was, this is what I found:

That was always one of my favorite things to see! I can remember seeing them late in the evenings, just when school as started back. Truly a sign of Fall!!

I can just smell the corn and fodder!!!! Beats the heck out of
harvesting by hand, like in the olden days.

The quilt is progressing well. Of course, the colors are a favorite of this household. You probably will have to change your bedroom color scheme, just as you suggested.

It's looking and smelling like autumn around here too. It's my favorite season so I don't mind. It's what comes next that I do not like!

picking corn... getting ready for some Dove hunting, I bet.. a lot of crops around here were ruined by the hurricane. Whole fields of tobacco are being plowed under. The crops across from us look good! I'm not ready for fall.. I love summer!!
