A Sunday Nugget - Trust

Good Morning!

What is a Sunday Nugget?

A scripture verse, quote or thought that sticks with me from that week's Bible or other Christian literature reading, or from some other aspect of my Christian walk.

This week this Scripture touched my heart:

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. Psalm 143:8

I don't know about you, but I struggle with trusting God with my day to day life. This scripture is a good one to remember each morning before I start my day and as I go throughout my day. I also love mornings, and what better way to start the day than experiencing God's unfailing love?

My hope would be that when I turn EVERYTHING over to God daily..... or many times a day, that I will eventually reach that point of total trust. Imagine! No worry or anxiety. Now that would be a great example of a woman of Grace.

Yes, I want that!

The following quote comes from the book I am reading called "Work in Progress, An Unfinished Woman's Guide to Grace" by Kristin Armstrong.

"Time spent getting to know God means walking along with Him; asking Him to illuminate the route and not racing ahead of what's been lit. It means spending time in His Word, getting to know His spotless character and the countless examples of His unfailing love illustrated in His ironclad promises."

Yes Lord! Show me the way!

Today is Palm Sunday and the beginning of Holy Week, and a very busy time for everyone. I pray that you will have a good week and a closer walk with God.

Very nice post!

I stuggle with trusting God; not in the overall plan, but in the waiting time it takes for the plan to come to pass. God has "proven" (He doesn't really owe us any proof, now does He?) Himself over and over again that He does indeed have a plan. But when I am waiting in the trenches and am uncomfortable, I have a lot of trouble being pleasant! Surely He could speed up the giving of gifts and blessings!

But like I often tell God during prayer times, "Thank God you are God and I am not!" I would have things so messed up! We must trust His plans!

Have a nice week!
