This week I am showing some cross stitch and embroidery items in my home.
My husband inherited this beautiful piece from his mother. I think it was a gift to his mother from a friend of hers. It's hanging in our living room with pictures of our children on each side.
This is a Spring pocketbook I made a couple of years ago. The "J" is cross stitched. I'm thinking about using this bag today. Our temperatures today and this weekend are going to be in the 70s. Can you say "Spring"?!!!

We found these two at a yard sale.
My North Carolina readers will understand this one! My sweet Sister in Law made this for her brother, my hubby. GO PACK!

Your needlepoint projects are nice. I used to do a lot of cross stitch, but it's not my favorite thing to do anymore. I, too, have bought some samplers and cross stitch items from yard sales. Knowing the time that goes into making a piece, I also find it hard to believe that someone would sell it on a yardsale.

I too cross stitched for many years...pre kids! Your collection is beautiful! I just love the pocketbook...you do such great work! I am sooooo jealous that you are having 70 degree weather!!! NJ is going to be in the 50's today...which I will take!
What a nice collection of cross-stitch. I read the biscuit recipe, and the recipe I use is very similar.
I'm just now finishing up a cross stitch that is my biggest project so far. It will be worth it, though. You have a great collection of cross-stitches. I find they make the best gifts. People seem to really appreciate the time and effort put into these projects.

Love your cross stitch pieces... I have some that I got from yard sales too... I cannot imagine someone taking all that time to cross stitch something and then put it on a yard sale... but I'm so glad they did...;)
