I'm working on the list!
In an effort to have some sense of accomplishment I chose one of the easier items on my 2009 HOME TO DO LIST. "Clean Linen Closet" (See Side Bar)
BEFORE:
Note: This is what happens when you work outside the home, help care for an elderly parent and try to do too much sewing when you should be cleaning house! AND I have more closets that look just as bad, or worse! So stay tuned....
AFTER
I plan to work on each item on the list, one at a time, until they are done if it takes all year. Some of them will have to be done in baby steps. I am envisioning doing one shelf, cabinet or area at a time when time permits.

Excellent job! It really looks good, Debbie.
Debbie
I have a closet that looks just like your messy one. The neat one is inspiring. I'll be taking a look to see what I can do to improve it today. Thanks!
A quick question. When quilting how do you decide which fabrics to put next to each other? Do you use a color wheel? I have no talent when it comes to making that decision. Thank you for any help you can give me.
Great Job!! I will have to show you ours. mjw
Debbie,
It looks really great! I love the sense of accomplishment when the job is done. What did you do with your no longer what/need pile?
Look forward to seeing the next task.
Coleen
Hi Coleen, I had one large garbage bag of throw aways. It contained old stained/faded dish towels and sheets. I didn't want to give things to the thrift store that weren't half way nice looking, but I did get one box filled up with things to give the thrift shop. I'll probably wait until I've cleaned out more closets to get enough boxes of good stuff before I made a trip to the thrift store.
Thanks, Debbie J.
Hi Rita, I sent you an email to answer your question. I hope you got it. :o) Thanks, Debbie J.
Looks great! I like your idea of listing your "To Do List" on your sidebar.
I'm with you, what I didn't get done with my cleaning on Christmas break I hope to finish up in baby steps.
Keep us posted on your countdown, it will motivate me! :)
Debbie, I don't think the messy one looked so bad but you have it looking very organized and pretty too.
You make a good point because not every woman has a lot of free time, or even energy to organize/clean the home all at once. We all are in different seasons of our lives.
I think your plan of attack is a good way to go. It's how I am going to deal with my home this year too. Little bits and pieces...they all add up. :)
