Bottle Fed Goats

My son had several goats to give birth around Christmas day. Sadly, two mama goats died this week, leaving three babies. Two were a set of twins. He went to Tractor Supply and bought milk replacer powder and nipples. You put the nipples on an empty 20 ounce drink bottle. The milk replacer powder is mixed with warm water.

Here is my son feeding one of the babies:

This picture shows the back of my son while he is feeding one of the babies. The other two seem to be waiting in line!

So far they seem to be doing ok. Hopefully he can keep them alive until they get big enough to take care of themselves in the goat pen.

My husband has had to do that several times. Your son is going to be busy. Those goats will learn to love him and probably follow him around as if he were their mom. Goats are so cute when they are little.

Wonder what happen to the moms? My husband had one to just die... seemed to be doing well ... her babies were a little older and were eating some so no bottles for them.

I am sorry to hear about the mama goats; that is sad. They certainly look very sweet. Your son is taking such good care of them.

Aaahhh, their so cute! Seeing your sons goats reminds me of my goats I had when I was little by the names of Cocoa and Vanilla. ha.

If I were him, I'd have those photos in my wallet to show potential dates! They'd think it was so sweet. Well...unless they don't like goats. :)

Those baby goats are so cute and its so sad that they lost their Momma. It is so great that your son is taking care of them like he is.

I had a pet goat when I was young and I loved that goat. It use to play hide and seek with me and my brothers.

I'm glad that the little ones are being so well taken care of. Hopefully they will make it with a little tender loving care.
