The Blessings of 2008

I lay awake last night thinking about all the blessings of 2008.

Here is my hubby on the first day of his new job on April 21st. He was very happy about it! (Me too!)

Trust in the Lord, and do good; so you will live in the land, and enjoy security. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalms 37:3-4.

My mother had a devastating stroke on Memorial Day. With much TLC she has returned to about 75% of her former independence.

This is a picture taken in 1958:

Her children rise up and call her blessed... Proverbs 31: 28

This one was taken December 21, 2008:

On July 22, 2008 I was T-Boned in my van. I only had a few cuts and bruises from what could have been a deadly wreck.

For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. On their hands they will bear you up, so that you will not dash your foot against a stone. Psalms 91: 11-12.

I turned 50!

Come grow old with me! The best is yet to come...

Thank you, Debbie, for the reminder that we all have such a lot for which to be grateful. Like I have said before, your and Blake's meeting and marriage is a blessing. You two are so well paired.

Continue to have a great celebration of Christmas!
