I thought these pictures would be refreshing on this hot August day!
This is my front yard and back porch one day last winter. We get snow about once a year, if we are lucky! This snow was gone by afternoon, but was pretty while it lasted. I would love to have some good snows this winter, just a couple. I'm not sure I'd like a lot of it.
My county is under an excessive heat warning today and for the next few days. The temperature will reach the triple digits, with a heat index of about 110. Its not so much the temperature that is bad here in Eastern North Carolina. Its the humidity combined with the temperature.
I hope you have a great day and stay cool!

It supposed to hit 95 today here on Long Island...and to feel like 100. That snow looks beautiful...so long as I don't have to go out in it, LOL! Choosing between 95 above or 3 below with snow...I'll take the heat.
Thanks for stopping by Sorta Frugal. I'm not sure what summer things I'll get, but I'd like some nice ice cream dishes. If there are tablecloths, I'd like to get one or two to cut up and sew into chair cushions.
CVS always has cool gadgets, too, so maybe I'll get one of those. Not that I need another 'gadget,' LOL! My countertops already runneth over.
Let in snow, let it snow, let it snow! It is very hot here, isn't it? My dream is to one day not worrying about having to go to work (retired!) and that we get a nice big snow storm that snows us in for about a week! (and of course, I want my pantry to be stocked, have plenty of books to read, and want the electricity to stay on!)
I remember that snow day last winter. We got the lightest dusting. Looks like you got more than we did. Thanks for the thought of cooling us off.
Ahh looks good it is so hot here.
Hugs,
Elizabeth
We reached 101 today and one more day in the triple digits expected tomorrow. Definitely a day to remain inside even if the A/C can't stop running. Some snow today might make things interesting. Come winter we will have forgotten what today feels like I suppose.
