I finished my goal of making 70 nine patch quilt squares and started the process of putting them together. I sewed one 6 1/2 inch by 2 1/2 inch sashing strip to the side of each 9 patch. Then I spread them out of the bed to check for color balance.
One row sewn together and pressed.
Some scrappy borders.
All ten rows of seven blocks sewn together and pressed.
Now I need to sew on the sashings between the rows and on the sides, as well as the scrappy borders. That is my project to work on after work this week!

Love how this looks, what a great scrappy quilt! It surely is a great way to use all the small pieces leftover, amazing how some of those colors would not usually go together look so great in this quilt. Nice job Debbie.
I love nine patch quilts. They're a great way to use up scraps and colors that normally don't go together blend right in. I love everything about your quilt.
I'm going to attempt a flannel nine patch quilt this fall. Hope mine turns out as well as your did.
Looks great!!

That is coming along nicely. If you don't have a planned home for it yet, I'm sure I could find a bed in our home. *smile* Really, it's pretty. Great job! Sincerely, Mommy of two little blessings & so much more!
