A Mile Stone

When I noticed that today is February 8th, I realized that today makes 25 years since the first day I started my job! Even though I would love to be a stay at home person, I thank God frequently for my job and the people I work for and with. Its been such a blessing to me over the years.

I couldn't resist showing you the lunch my hubby packed for me earlier this week....

I saw him putting some orange things in there and sure was hoping it wasn't carrots! Gotta love a guy who puts Cheetos and a yummy sandwich in your lunch, along with a cup of crushed ice that you can add Diet Coke to when you get to work. Isn't he the greatest?!

Here are a couple of pictures of my office taken last Spring.

By day I am a Paralegal....

At night and on the weekends I quilt and sew.  Here are a couple of my current projects in progress.

The Joys of Being Stocked Up

Having a well stocked pantry makes me happy. Its so nice to make a grocery list and realize you need very little. I check off in my mind.... sugar, no...coffee, no....flour, no...., rice or pasta, no... toilet paper, no....

Any time there is a god sale of toilet paper I pick up a couple. Last week Food Lion had Charmin Basic on sale and I picked one up. BUT, when I got home there was no toilet paper in my car. I checked the receipt and I paid for it, but it just didn't make it home with me.

On my next trip to the store, I asked the cashier what I should do about it and she said to just go get another pack, which I did.

The following Monday, one of my coworkers brought me a big pile of toilet paper that her family didn't like. I gladly accepted it.

Even toilet paper can be a blessing!

The Blessings of 2008

I lay awake last night thinking about all the blessings of 2008.

Here is my hubby on the first day of his new job on April 21st. He was very happy about it! (Me too!)

Trust in the Lord, and do good; so you will live in the land, and enjoy security. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalms 37:3-4.

My mother had a devastating stroke on Memorial Day. With much TLC she has returned to about 75% of her former independence.

This is a picture taken in 1958:

Her children rise up and call her blessed... Proverbs 31: 28

This one was taken December 21, 2008:

On July 22, 2008 I was T-Boned in my van. I only had a few cuts and bruises from what could have been a deadly wreck.

For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. On their hands they will bear you up, so that you will not dash your foot against a stone. Psalms 91: 11-12.

I turned 50!

Come grow old with me! The best is yet to come...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Glimpses of Home - first quarter of 2021

I made a list of my 2021 goals that I wrote down in the back of my planner.  Its time to review that to see how I am doing! But, here are a ...
